Stock markets are at record highs. Interest rates have nudged up slightly. Federal tax overhaul programs have passed and are being implemented in 2018 to lower taxes. Lack of workforce is a main issue. High cost of Healthcare costs continues. Government regulation is happening and being discussed relating to employment, environmental, and uses of technology. At the same time, technological changes are coming faster every day.
The January 25th combined CAMPS Round Table will not answer all your questions, but you will hear what local manufacturers and business professionals are seeing and taking actions. This is a three-part program.
Nick is Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Team Leader for the deposit side activities for King County. Nick brings a unique perspective on what banks are seeing in the market from an economic standpoint through customers, various industry trade organizations, and non-profit organizations.
Loren is the President and CEO of Impact Washington, Washington State’s MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) – Their mission is to assist small and medium-sized manufacturers to grow and retain sales, increase investment, and create new jobs. One topic they will cover is with the increased use of technologies, SMM’s need to understand cyber security threats and available solutions.
Nicole is a CPA and Senior Manager for Assurance Services. The 2018 BP PULSE is complete. Hear the 2018 Survey results. The PULSE is a Distribution and Manufacturing Survey conducted in partnership with CAMPS. This survey solicits responses from 1,000 local companies on what they are seeing and experiencing. Respondents at 45% Owners, Presidents, or CEO, and another 30% are CFO, COO, of Director/Senior Manager roles.
